One starting point, four distinctive directions
- Business Administration: explore organisations, marketing, finance and international business.
- Culinary and Food Service Management: connect an interest in food with restaurant and service operations.
- Computer Software: build towards programming, software development and digital problem-solving.
- AI Healthcare: explore the connection between computing, data and healthcare applications.
Use the first year to build common academic foundations and consider which subject best matches your strengths. Major study begins from the second year within the relevant pathway. Major availability, allocation and progression requirements must be confirmed before you make your final choice; entry to the pathway is not an unrestricted guarantee of any university major.
Who is this program for?
Students completing secondary school who want a structured introduction to Korean university life, especially those comparing business, food-service management and computing-related degrees.
Career directions
Your eventual career direction depends on the major you complete. Business operations, food-service enterprises, software development and digital-health technology offer very different routes, so choosing the right specialisation matters as much as choosing the university.
This is an entry pathway towards a bachelor’s degree, not a separate one-year qualification. Asia Pathway can help you compare the four directions and check the full degree plan before applying.
Admission and language requirements
- Completed secondary education or an accepted equivalent qualification for undergraduate entry.
- Academic transcripts, graduation documents, passport and nationality or family documents as required for your application.
- English-language guidance for the international route generally uses IELTS 6.0, with different guidance for some applicant groups. Ask us to check the applicable benchmark and accepted alternatives.
- Suitable language evidence and any additional material requested by the university.
- Financial and document-verification requirements must be checked for your applicant profile.
Plan before you submit. Asia Pathway can review your background, identify missing documents and explain the next steps. Meeting a minimum requirement does not guarantee admission; the university makes the final decision.
Tuition and scholarships
Budget per semester. Tuition is charged by semester, not as one all-inclusive degree package. Ask Asia Pathway for the current standard semester fee for your exact major and entry route, together with any approved scholarship calculation. USD figures are indicative conversions; the university’s final invoice and payment-currency requirements take priority.
Undergraduate scholarship opportunities: Entry awards and continuing-student tuition reductions may be available. Continuing awards can depend on Korean-language attainment and other university conditions. We will check your eligibility and distinguish the first-semester award from later-semester support; a maximum award is not guaranteed to every student.
Other costs: Plan separately for admission or application charges, accommodation, meals, insurance, textbooks or materials, travel, visa-related expenses and personal living costs. Scholarship coverage should never be assumed to include these items.
Life and learning in Gangneung
Make Gangneung part of your learning experience. CKU offers a university setting on Korea’s east coast, giving you the opportunity to build everyday independence and explore a different side of the country from the capital. Korean-language development can make daily life more rewarding and support your longer-term professional plans.
University housing provides an option for students who want to begin with a campus-based living arrangement. Room availability, room type, meal arrangements and the residence period must be checked separately from tuition.
