Five connected computing directions
- Data science, AI and robotics: intelligent approaches to working with information and systems.
- Cybersecurity and privacy: protecting systems and considering responsible data use.
- Internet of Things and networks: connected devices and communication technologies.
- Games and virtual reality: computing applications in interactive digital environments.

The four-year course runs across eight semesters. Foundational computing study supports later exploration of specialist subjects, helping you compare where your strengths lie. Specific electives, projects and practical opportunities depend on the programme plan and availability.
Who is this program for?
Students interested in computing who want to compare software engineering, data, security, connected systems and interactive technologies before concentrating their career development.
Career directions
Possible directions include junior software development, web or mobile development, systems support, data-related work and further specialisation in security, AI or connected technology. Your portfolio and practical abilities will influence which roles are realistic on graduation.
A broad computing degree can keep several options open, but specialist careers still require focused practice. Asia Pathway can help you compare Smart Computing with KDU’s more AI-focused bachelor’s option.
Admission and language requirements
- Completed secondary education or an accepted equivalent qualification for undergraduate entry.
- Academic transcripts, graduation documents, passport and nationality or family documents as required for your application.
- English-language guidance includes IELTS 5.5 or an accepted equivalent. Eligibility and accepted evidence must be checked against the current admissions requirements.
- Suitable language evidence and any additional material requested by the university.
- Financial and document-verification requirements must be checked for your applicant profile.
Plan before you submit. Asia Pathway can review your background, identify missing documents and explain the next steps. Meeting a minimum requirement does not guarantee admission; the university makes the final decision.
Tuition and scholarships
Budget per semester. Tuition is charged by semester, not as one all-inclusive degree package. Ask Asia Pathway for the current standard semester fee for your exact major and entry route, together with any approved scholarship calculation. USD figures are indicative conversions; the university’s final invoice and payment-currency requirements take priority.
Scholarship opportunities: Eligible applicants may be considered for entry awards that can cover tuition and university accommodation. Award levels depend on the applicable nationality and entry conditions. Continuing awards are assessed separately using academic performance and attendance, so an entry award should not be treated as guaranteed funding for every semester.
Other costs: Plan separately for admission or application charges, accommodation, meals, insurance, textbooks or materials, travel, visa-related expenses and personal living costs. Scholarship coverage should never be assumed to include these items.
