Program at a glance
University: Kyungdong University Global
Location: Global Campus, Goseong, near Sokcho, South Korea
Study level: Bachelor’s degree
Study structure: Four years, normally eight semesters.
Teaching language: English-medium degree study. Korean may still be needed for everyday life, some administrative processes and work outside the classroom.
Understand hospitality beyond the front desk
- Hotel operations: front office, housekeeping and food-and-beverage service.
- Business foundations: finance, entrepreneurship and the management of hospitality enterprises.
- Customers and markets: tourism marketing, service quality and guest experience.
- Hospitality technology: information systems, business intelligence and property-management applications.
- Global tourism: industry trends and meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.
The four-year degree is structured across eight semesters. Core business and hospitality learning develops into more specialised subjects as you progress. Practical and industry-related opportunities are subject to the current curriculum and availability; they should be considered an addition to your academic development, not a guaranteed placement with a particular hotel.
Who is this program for?
Students who enjoy working with people and are interested in hotels, resorts, tourism, food and beverage, or the business of guest experiences.
Career directions
Possible starting directions include hotel operations, guest services, reservations, food-and-beverage coordination, tourism services and events support. Revenue management, departmental leadership or entrepreneurship are longer-term possibilities as experience develops.
Hospitality careers combine communication, adaptability and operational competence. Building Korean alongside English may widen your ability to engage with local guests and employers, even when your degree subjects are taught in English.
Admission and language requirements
- Completed secondary education or an accepted equivalent qualification for undergraduate entry.
- Academic transcripts, graduation documents, passport and nationality or family documents as required for your application.
- English-language guidance includes IELTS 5.5 or an accepted equivalent. Eligibility and accepted evidence must be checked against the current admissions requirements.
- Suitable language evidence and any additional material requested by the university.
- Financial and document-verification requirements must be checked for your applicant profile.
Plan before you submit. Asia Pathway can review your background, identify missing documents and explain the next steps. Meeting a minimum requirement does not guarantee admission; the university makes the final decision.
Tuition and scholarships
Budget per semester. Tuition is charged by semester, not as one all-inclusive degree package. Ask Asia Pathway for the current standard semester fee for your exact major and entry route, together with any approved scholarship calculation. USD figures are indicative conversions; the university’s final invoice and payment-currency requirements take priority.
Scholarship opportunities: Eligible applicants may be considered for entry awards that can cover tuition and university accommodation. Award levels depend on the applicable nationality and entry conditions. Continuing awards are assessed separately using academic performance and attendance, so an entry award should not be treated as guaranteed funding for every semester.
Other costs: Plan separately for admission or application charges, accommodation, meals, insurance, textbooks or materials, travel, visa-related expenses and personal living costs. Scholarship coverage should never be assumed to include these items.
